It’s important to keep the firmware on your devices up-to-date to fix bugs and add new features. Firmware for Grandstream products are improved and updated on a regular basis, and you can program your device to check for upgrades and update automatically.

For Grandstream HT801/HT12 and some other models, please download the latest firmware file from the above link, unzip the file if necessary (normally you need the *.bin file).


Login to the device web GUI using the device IP address. For how to find the device's default IP address please click here.


Login to the device using the default username and password. This is "admin" for both username and password in most cases.


Once logged in, click on the "ADVANCED SETTINGS" tab, scroll down to the bottom of the page, click on "Upload Firmware" button and select the new firmware file.


It normally takes few minutes before the update is completed and you can re-login to the device. Once logged in, check if the firmware is successfully upgraded by checking the "STATUS" tab > Software Version > Program Version.
